The Divine Enigma
Stars glittering in the night
Seem to be set there to remind you to hold on
To fight
To hang on with baited breath
Until you have nothing left
To give
Or to be taken
Clouds streak across the sky
Catching your wondering eye
As though to say follow me
Somewhere safe
Somewhere serene
Flowers bloom
And then they fade
Just to remind you of another day
Gone by
Alone
Lost adrift an unsettled sea
Of emotion
Lost like me
But maybe if we are lucky as the waves of time ebb and flow
And we can find one another
And if even just for one moment find peace
As we cling to each other in the raging storm of life
Maybe
If we are lucky
Just for one night
